Filomena Centofani

Signora Baldassi has asked the class to write a few words about a person we admire and who inspires us.  Personally, I don't want to name just one, there are many people I admire and look up to for different reasons.  Though when it boils down to it, and for the purpose of choosing just one special person, my mum is my inspiration.  She migrated to Australia as an adolescent, learnt to speak English for her family, and worked three jobs to help support her parents and young sisters.  Even to this very day, she lives, works and prays for her family.  Even though she may not be in a
position of importance in society, I value her opinion and advice.  To you she may be Filomena, a number, maybe a nobody, but to me she's a hero, my hero.
