Iolanda Inspirational is just one of the million words that could be used to
describe the compassionate, altruistic and magnificent woman who will
always be my role model. This woman is my nonna Iolanda.
Struggle, cannot come close to what she has encountered in her life.
Coming from an impoverished family, Iolanda, at the age of six had to
work on a farm in her town village to help earn the money her
family desperately needed. Regardless of the fact that she had
contracted the incurable disease, polio, which disabled her from using
her legs, she persisted to work without a single complaint.
Sacrificing her life meant that she would be able to give her eight
brothers and sisters the life she only dreamt about. After many
arduous years of struggling, her parents scraped enough money for her to
